Taking passport photos of a 3-month-old baby can seem daunting, but with the right approach and a little patience and cooperation, it can be done successfully.
Photo Requirements
Simply put, as soon as your baby can sit up, you can bring him/her to the studio for passport photos. Ensuring your baby can sit up on their own is key before attempting the photo. If they can't sit up yet, we have other methods to try.
How to Take the Photo
For babies as young as 3 months old, have one parent hold or support the baby to face the camera. The other parent can stand next to the camera to attract the baby's attention. It might take several attempts, so patience is key. You can refer to the picture below. This requires cooperation between both parents, as babies don't know where to look, so it takes a lot of patience.
Special Circumstances (Under 3 Months)
In some cases, such as needing a passport photo for international travel or visa applications, parents may need to take a photo of a baby under 3 months old. In this case, you can lay a white sheet on the bed and use your smartphone to take an overhead photo of your baby lying down. Then, you can contact us to crop it to the correct size and print it.
